When people say “everything happens for a reason” about something, I hear it as “I hope there’s more behind this happening, so it’s not as bad” or “I was able to turn that thing/event around, so I can say this.”
I admire those who find a reason behind the smallest things in life. I feel like they’re really taking in everything and living passionately, but also, I feel like they make things more complicated than they actually are.
