Why does Naruto have whiskers? Is there some story behind it that I missed? I don’t think anyone in the series (except for his children) has it. I don’t get it.

It’s Kurama’s effect.
Kurama is a fox, and the fox has whiskers.
Kurama is sealed in Naruto’s body, so Naruto has whiskers.
Naruto’s mother was Kurama’s Jinchurikii when Naruto was perceived and born, so Kurama’s chakra had affected Naruto even before he became Kurama’s Jinchurikii when his dad sealed Kurama in his body as an infant.
Naruto’s children also have whiskers because Naruto was Kurama’s Jinchurikii when they were perceived.
