Ciao! I need help differentiating UPS And USPS. My parents are away, and they need me to send them something. Can both be used interchangeably, or do they only accept specific things to deliver? Also need to know which is the cheaper option.
Thanks!
Not so much of “accepting specific things to deliver” – it’s more of not accepting specific things. They can deliver almost anything, except a few things (They listed them here and here, so check those)
They can almost be used interchangeably, but knowing their difference can save you a lot of time and money.
USPS is designed to ship smaller packages and mail quickly and cost-effectively. UPS is intended for shipping larger parcels worldwide.
UPS, or United Parcel Service, is a publicly traded company, while USPS, or The United States Postal Service aka Post Office, is not a company, it’s an independent agency of the U.S. Federal government.
When shipping smaller packages, UPS is often more expensive than USPS. But, when shipping large and heavy packager, UPS would be a better choice – again, cause that’s what their main services are. So, determine the package you’re sending and chose from there.
Good luck with your task. You can do it!
Thank you so muuuuch! <3
