I’m not the only one confused about this, right? I don’t follow fashion that much, but I wear a lot of jeans, so I might as well learn about them.
What’s the difference between mom jeans vs. boyfriend jeans? How can you tell them apart?

What’s The Difference Between Mom Jeans Vs. Boyfriend Jeans?
Share
I tried to simplify their differences.
Mom Jeans – the type of jeans that moms wore in the 70s
Can also be a straight leg, but it mostly has a tapered leg style
More fitted than the boyfriend jeans
Loose and roomy in the sipper area
High cut
Shorter length, often have a cropped look
Boyfriend Jeans – jeans that look like you “borrowed from your boyfriend.”
Sits lower on the hips
Loosely fitted
Sits mid-low on the waist
Has a straighter cut
Longer length than mom jeans, can be folded in the ankles
Basically, the easier way to tell is by looking at where it sits on the hips. If it’s high cut jeans, that is most probably mom jeans. Regarding styling, mom jeans are more flattering and easier to style.
