The process of gas becoming a liquid is called condensation.
Condensation can happen in two different ways:
One, when air is cooled to its dew point – when water droplets form outside your cold soda cans – that’s condensation.
Two, the air becomes so saturated with water vapor that it can’t hold any more – an example would be clouds, when the water droplets in the clouds get heavy, they form raindrops.
