Planning to get rid of my “quarantine body” and lose some weight. I’m looking into doing intermittent fasting. What happens to the body if it doesn’t get food for a day?

The body will only use stored fats for energy after the first 8 hours of not eating (before that, it’ll still be digesting the last meal eaten). After the 8 hour mark, it’ll continue to use your stored fats to give you energy, helping in weight loss. The energy restriction from a 24-hour fast may also benefit your metabolism (so additional weight loss)
It may also help with cholesterol and sugar levels management, and reduce the risk of getting coronary artery disease (but this is when it’s done regularly).

That’s the science stuff. Personally, I don’t feel that hungry even after not eating for 24 hours and could go longer, I do feel more tired tho (there comes the “energy restriction” part lol)
