Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain, has been a part of the European Union since January 1, 1986 – that answers your question, right? 😀
Spain is located in extreme southwestern Europe – emphasis on the extreme. Most of Spain is in Europe, but some of its cities and Islands are in Africa, making Spain an intercontinental country.
