I have a German Shepherd that just turned one. Is he still considered a puppy?

Generally, a one-year-old dog is considered an adult, but different breeds mature differently – especially big dogs like German Shepherd.
Female German Shepherds will grow until they are two years old, and the male German Shepherd will grow until about two and a half years of age. But at around 18 months old, you can say they’re nearly fully grown physically but still a puppy in behavior.
In short, your pet is still a puppy.
