My homeschooling niece has to experiment with mixtures. She’s supposed to separate sand and salt, and we’re supposed to help her, but we don’t know how lol How do you separate sand and salt?

“Probably the easiest method to separate the two substances is to dissolve salt in water, pour the liquid away from the sand, and then evaporate the water to recover the salt.”
