I just want to visualize how short a millisecond is – or maybe how long a day is. So, how many milliseconds are in a day?

Well, there are 86,400 seconds in a day.
A millisecond is the one-thousandth of a second.
So, 86,400 seconds/day x 1000 milliseconds/second = 86,400,000 milliseconds/day.
A blink of an eye is 100 to 400 milliseconds – so if we’re talking about what happens to us by milliseconds, a day is really long!
