I’ve been inside for so long because of quarantine, and now that I’m fully vaccinated and can go out, I want to get some tan, but I don’t want to get sunburns or cancer – nobody does. How long does it take to have a suntan safely?

Hi!
It depends on a lot of factors like your skin type, humidity, time of the day, the sunscreen you use, and even how far you are from the equator (cool, right?)
Most, if not all, doctors wouldn’t recommend tanning at all because even the “safer” options or process has risks of irreversible skin damage. But, just to answer your question, it’d be the “safest” to tan for about 30 minutes, before 10:00 am and after 5:00 pm with sunscreen – this is enough for you to get some Vitamin D from the sun and also get some color.
Be safe!
Thank you very much! This was really helpful 🙂
