Can you help me visualize how big a 500 square feet apartment is? I’m looking to move, and the apartment I found is 500 square feet – just want to make sure I don’t waste time checking it out. Thanks!

I answered a similar question in the past, but it’s about a 600 sq ft apartment.
500 sq ft is 25 by 20 feet, a bit bigger than a two-car garage.
A 600 sq ft apartment is big enough for studios and 1 bedroom apartments, even for 2 beds/1 bath, and an acceptable living room, says this article.
This blog shows a 500 sq ft home is enough for a “separate kitchen and small dining room, spacious living room/bedroom, and a pretty generous closet.”
Based on these, depending on the layout of the place, a 500 sq ft is good enough for a studio apartment.
