By definition, a vertex is a point where two or more curves, lines, or edges meet.
It’s basically a fancy word we use in geometry to say “corner.”
So, a triangle has three vertices.
This was a very helpful def. I used it to help my niece who had no idea what the word was.
She was reading the question and didn’t understand the word. So she ended up asking the teacher about it but she didn’t help. So she came to me and I thought to look on here. 😀 If that makes any sense.
