A business day is any weekday when a business operates officially. Days that do not fall under the business day category are – weekends and public holidays.
There is normally a culture of 5 business days – Monday to Friday. But this can differ depending on:
That being said, there are businesses that operate six days a week or even 24×7.
But, if we talk about a typical business, three business days would mean any three days from Monday to Friday, excluding national holidays.
For instance, if you have a client deliverable in 3 business days from Monday and Tuesday is a national holiday. You will have to deliver the project by Thursday end of the day. Here we have taken into account only three business days – Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
