I just never knew their difference. Is there even any difference between marinara and spaghetti sauce aside from their names?

Spaghetti sauce is thicker and has more ingredients as noodles will be added to it. It also has meat and vegetables.
Marinara, on the other hand, has no meat and has a more complex flavor since it’s made with more herbs and spices. It also has a thinner consistency.
You can use both as spaghetti sauce (anything you use with spaghetti pasta is spaghetti sauce lol) since they’re both tomato-based. Whether you’ll use spaghetti sauce as marinara is up to your preference.
