Christians should treat the book of Enoch and other books like it the same way we do with other Apocryphal writings. Some of what the Apocrypha says is correct and right, but much of what it says is wrong and historically inaccurate. If you decide to read these books, you may read them as an interesting novel containing interesting stories from history. You may not read them as the inspired, inerrant, infallible, clear, and authoritative Word of God.
But we highly recommend you read any of these books with caution and discernment. If you find yourself influenced by the wording held within the books of the Apocrypha, then close them for the time being. And make sure to stay in the Word on a daily basis. Although it’s fun to explore extra-biblical books written millennia ago, it’s far more important to invest in God’s Word.
Why should we Not think its biblical? If Jesus himself thought it was so important he quoted Enoch, then why should we not take it to heart?? Just because a Evil King and power hungry priest put the books of Our Bible now together and left out KEY books, doesn’t mean God did not want his children to find them and read them exactly like they were supposed to be read. As part of HIS story.
The text describes Enoch’s visions of heaven and hell and angels and demons as witnessed on his travels to heaven.
By the 4th century, the Book of Enoch was largely considered by Jews and Christians not to have been divinely inspired, so it wasn’t included in religious texts.
So what your actually saying is, that the church decided that The Book of Enoch is not true whereas other books in the bible are actual fact because the church says it is.
Thats the same as someone a thousand years from now, stating that ‘The Worst Witch’ is fiction, but the Harry Potter books are non-fictional depictions of a boys life in a school for wizards.
