I can’t seem to think of the word to call the place where the river meets the sea. What is it?

The area where a freshwater river or stream meets the sea or ocean is called an estuary. Naturally, the freshwater from the river or stream and salty water in the sea or ocean will mix and create slightly salty water called brackish water.
An estuary may also be called a bay, lagoon, sound, or slough.
