I’m still a beginner in skateboarding but Ripstiks really caught my attention. What is the difference between a Ripstik and a Skateboard?

Board
Skateboard has one straight solid board.
RipStik has 2 boards that twist.
Wheels
Skateboard has 4 wheels – 2 on the front and 2 at the back.
RipStik has 2 wheels on each board.
Propulsion
You need to push yourself if you’re on a skateboard before you can move. In a RipStik, you don’t have to push off the ground (you can, you don’t have to). You can start weaving on a RipStik, and you’ll be able to move.
Tricks
Because the Skateboard is more stable, it’s easier to do tricks with it. You can also try the tricks with a RipStik, but it’ll be harder. Jumps are fine for both but grinding on a RipStik will be much harder because of the separate boards.
Learning Curve
Again because of the Skateboard’s stability, it’ll be easier for beginners to learn.
Basically,
On a skateboard, you need to learn to stand still on a moving board.
On a RipStik, you need to learn to move to make the board move.
