I always buy Taro-flavored milk tea, but I’ve never eaten the Taro root, and I’m sure it’s not the same as the milk tea (cause that’s just sweet, can’t imagine root tasting like that). Has anyone here tried Taro as a root vegetable? What does it taste like?

I’ve only eaten it a few times when I went to the PH for vacation. It tasted sweet and nutty and like a mix of both potato and sweet potato. Honestly, I ate it in a soup dish called Sinigang, and it absorbed the flavors so well – it was great, 10/10 would recommend.
