How to get to the Throne of Thunder
World of Warcraft patch 5.2 came with a raid instance called Throne of Thunder. The raid is located on the Isle of Thunder, in the North-western part of the Isle of the Thunder King in the continent of Pandaria. The minimum level for this dungeon is 90+. The raid contains 13 bosses and Lei Shen is the last one in the game.
But where is the entrance of the Throne of Thunder located? The entrance to the Throne of Thunder is in the Isle of the Thunder King. It is accessed via a portal near the Shado Pan garrison in the City Long steppes. To enter the raid, you have to use a side entrance located on the left side of the main path, you will find it leading up to the instance. You must have a minimum item level of 480 to play the raid.
The Mogu Empire controlled much of Pandaria in the past, but not the Pandarians, they could not control the Mantids and so Lei Shen, the Thunder Emperor, built a wall separating them. Lei Shen died naturally and he was buried in Kunlai peak. The Zandalari trolls dug up Lei Shen’s grave and brought him back to life. Lei Shen is the Mogu Empire ruler. From the Throne of Thunder, Lei Shen rules over his Mogu Empire.
If you kill Lei Shen on Heroic, you can fight Ra-den, a titan who was imprisoned in the bowels of the throne. This is the highest raid you can do in 10 and 25 mode before the raid becomes adaptive, depending on how many players are in the raid. The loot is 502 for quest raid, 522 for normal and 535 for heroic mode.
Throne of Thunder is the raid instance of Patch 5.2. Emperor Lei Shen, the Thunder King, has returned to exact his revenge on Pandaria. Alliance and Horde have the task of killing and stopping a risen tyrant and his Zandalari affiliations in the game. The Throne of Thunder has 12 raid encounters. The player that defeats the Emperor while playing the Heroic Mode earns an opportunity to join an additional 13th raid. Join the Shado Pan assault to defeat Lei Shen, the Thunder King, once and for all, and gain access to impressive rewards for bravery and reputation with this company can only be earned in the raid dungeon.
Encounters can be conducted in 10-man, 25-man, and LFR formats. There are unlockable modes which are not available in Normal modes but are available in the 10-man and 25-man formats. They also have the heroic-only boss. This raid represents level 15 in terms of progression and is said to be the second raid level of the Mists of Pandaria expansion.
The raid instance hosts 12 boss encounters (13 if you count the heroic boss mentioned above).
There has been a recent patched update edition 5.2 which has corrected the issues pertaining interaction of objects. This means we can just click the portal in the portal area at the shrines area. That will transport us to the Isle of the Thunder King. You will meet a few NPCs leading the fight, such as Jaina for the Alliance and Lor’themar for the Horde. Your faction will have different daily quests for you to take on.
