My Kdrama binge watching got me curious about soju, and now I want to try it. How many shots of soju does it take to get you drunk?
As another person on this site said, “There’s no one answer to this because drunkness depends on a lot of factors like the alcohol content of your drink, the amount you intake, the time frame, your alcohol tolerance, and even your genetics.”
The alcohol content of Soju is not standardized, so you’ll get some bottles with 16% alcohol content and some 25 to 40%. Generally, Soju is around 20 to 25%, so it’s stronger than beer and wine but weaker than gin or vodka.
Again, it’s hard to give you a definite answer on how many shots it’d take to get someone drunk, but I read that an average man can feel drunk after 3 to 4 bottles, and an average woman will feel drunk after 2 to 3 bottles.
