Hey guys, no one asked, but I’m still quarantined. I was brushing my teeth like the good boy that I am when I randomly thought if toothpaste has calories in it cause it tastes kinda sweet (you know how it is when you’re in quarantine, everything is both interesting, and boring at the same time lol)
Cheers.
Interesting question! haha Turns out, toothpaste does have calories – about 1 calorie per 100 grams. You’re right. It has calories because it is sweet. The thing that makes tubes of toothpaste sweet and has calories is Glycerine (it is also classed as a carbohydrate)
I mean, you won’t really get the calories if you don’t swallow the toothpaste (you shouldn’t anyway), and you’re also burning 5.7 calories when you brush your teeth for at least two minutes, so you’re good. Toothpaste won’t make you fat lmao

Love the answer! Thank you very much. Now I can brush my teeth in peace lol
There are about 4 calories in 1 cup of toothpaste!
