Is there an option in Instagram to turn off read receipts (both sending and receiving them)? If there is, then please teach me, I can’t find it. It’s just that sometimes I when I read my DMs, I don’t want the sender to see that I’ve seen them and expect a reply from me.
Unfortunately, you can’t turn off read receipts on Instagram. What you can do, though, is to turn off your Wi-Fi or press airplane mode before reading your DMs. This way, Instagram won’t show read receipt.
